Premio Giotto

Giotto di Bondone, known as the Father of the Renaissance, revolutionized painting and paved the way for future artists.  He is also well known for his significant and all-encompassing “perfect circle” drawing.  In the same manner, the Premio Giotto is given each year to distinguished individuals who, by their accomplishments in their chosen profession and in other facets of their life,  serve as  role models for young men and women to follow as well as to organizations which exemplify excellence in leadership, dedication to philanthropy and advocacy for the Italian heritage and cultureCarla Fendi (Honorary Chairman of the Fendi Group) and Lawrence E. Auriana (Chairman of the Federated Kaufmann Fund) were recipients of the Award in 2012.
